Future Projects
The Bumberrah Cemetery Trust is continually working towards future improvements within the cemetery grounds. Below are some of the projects and ideas currently being considered as funding becomes available.
Community support plays an important role in helping these projects become possible. Donations may be made towards a specific project if desired, or contributed towards general cemetery improvements. Donations will be acknowledged with a plaque. However, donations may also remain anonymous if required.
The Trust also welcomes feedback, ideas, and suggestions from the community. If there is an improvement or project you feel would benefit the cemetery, we would be very pleased to hear from you.
Together we can help preserve and improve the Bumberrah Cemetery for future generations.
Current projects we have been discussing:
- Post and rail fencing around the Natural Burial Area (grant applied for).
- New toilet amenities block to better service diverse community needs.
- Granite Niche Wall for future ashes interments.
- Extension of drainage to alleviate lawn grave flooding.
- Pet Burial Area developed for community needs (subject to provision by Department of Health of relevant guidelines).
- New bin containment holders.
- Provision of new seating where needed.
- Continued planting of native trees to provide windbreaks.
